Everything you've heard is true. He's back. And he's piling up the bodies at the "HorrorHound Festival!"
HorrorHound Weekend Ltd. is happy to announce that the rumors are true. We have been working with the producers of the upcoming Jeepers Creepers: Reborn to help reimagine the long-running convention series HorrorHound Weekend to the big screen. In partnership with film producers Jake Seal and Terry Bird of Orwo Studios, HorrorHound has lent our name and IP to the production of Jeepers Creepers: Reborn to help give the film a level of gravity, as the Creeper has awoken from his 23 year slumber, to feed once again.
The film, and concept, has been in the works for a long time. And required some adjustments, thanks to the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The original concept for the film was to have the production film at a legit physical (and new) HorrorHound Weekend event (which we had actually planned to host in Louisiana!) – where attendees would have the chance to be extras – finding themselves on-screen in the fourth installment of this long-running franchise. As mentioned, when the COVID-19 pandemic shut down film productions, industry-wide, new ideas were required to complete the film – as the studio pivoted and turned the popular HorrorHound Weekend indoor event into an outdoor "HorrorHound Festival" for the feature film, constructed on the back-lot at Black Hangar Studios. Not only making filming safer for all those involved, but assuring the production could follow safety guidelines to assure the completion of the movie. HorrorHound was happy to help in whatever capacity to see filming continue, providing our name, logo, and merchandise to help give the flavor of the 'Hound!
ABOUT THE FILM:
“Jeepers Creepers: Reborn unfolds as the HorrorHound Festival holds its first ever event in Louisiana, where it attracts hundreds of geeks, freaks and die-hard horror fans from far and wide. Among them is fanboy Chase and his girlfriend Laine, who is forced to come along for the ride. But as the event approaches, Laine begins to experience unexplained premonitions and disturbing visions associated with the town’s past, and in particular, local legend/urban myth The Creeper. As the festival arrives and the blood-soaked entertainment builds to a frenzy, Laine believes that something unearthly has been summoned…and that she is at the center of it.”
Jeepers Creepers: Reborn is directed by Timo Vuorensola (Iron Sky), and written by Sean Michael Argo. The film stars Imran Adams, Sydney Craven, Gabriel Freilich, Pete Brooke, Gary Graham, and Dee Wallace.
